Marte ha sido y es un espejo de la vida en la Tierra. Si bien no es todavía, y por muchísimo tiempo, una opción viable de "planeta B", nos permite sin embargo indagar sobre nuestra condición humana y nuestro futuro en la tierra como especie en esta época de cambio climático.

Marte como núcleo inspirador, se aborda en este catálogo, desde la ciencia, la historia, el arte, la literatura, el cómic, la actualidad ... y el resultado es un relato polisémico y abierto: Carl Sagan, Giovanni Schiaparelli, Galileo Galilei, H.G. The exhibition "Mars. The Red Mirror", in the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), delves in the future while looking back at the entire history of the human race. Is also an invitation to delve into the powerful imagery of Mars -a journey that begins with ancient myth of the god of war- which, since the end of the 19th century, has been a rich seam for scientific observation, the geopolitical struggle and science fiction until it has become, today, a mirror of our wounded planet.
